Weekend of Aug 30th
I am getting ready for two weddings this Saturday, Aug 30. The 1st is a shotgun ceremony at 11am and the 2nd a modern wedding at 4pm, with a rehearsal on Friday evening. It is not uncommon for me to perform more than one ceremony a day. I learned my lesson the hard way about scheduling ceremonies too close together. I try to leave at least two hours between ceremonies to accomodate any delays that can occur. I usually arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of the cermony, which allows plenty of time to check in with everyone and make sure everything is ready. To this point, it has not been a problem with this kind of arrival time. I will accommodate special requests for arriving earlier unless it interfers with the possibility of performing another ceremony. This is the fine line I walk as a business person and wedding officiant.
